The library is very useful for many people in our community, and a lot of residents go there for different purposes.

Stronger

Our branch closes at five, exactly when my shift ends, so my only chance is Saturday morning — when the queue for the two public computers runs about forty minutes.

Same point, twice. The second one can be checked, and that is most of the gap between a 7 and a 9.

There are many people and they are doing different things in the picture.

Stronger

A man in an orange apron is carrying a tray of coffees through a queue that reaches the door.

Naming what you see is most of the gap. Your recording plays back with the report, so you hear the pauses where the marker heard them.

Writing & Speaking

Marked on the four areas a rater uses

Not a grade and a shrug. Every answer comes back scored on Content/Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability or Listenability, and Task Fulfillment — with the sentence that cost you marks quoted back and a stronger version beside it.

Speaking is recorded and played back with the report, so you hear the pauses and the filler where the marker heard them.

Reading & Listening

Counted, then broken down by what it was testing

These two are right or wrong, so you get more than a total. Accuracy is split by part and by the three question types, which is what turns “I got 27” into “inference is costing me.”

Listening audio plays once and cannot be paused, exactly as it does on test day.

Idea Builder

Help before you answer, not only after

Every other tool marks you once it is too late to change anything. This one works on the attempt you are about to make: build and structure your ideas for a task before the clock starts.

The commonest reason an answer stays vague is not grammar. It is that there was never a second thought behind the first one.

Task 2 · Survey responseIdea Builder
Should the library extend its opening hours?
Reason 1

Current hours exclude anyone working a standard day

+ my shift ends at five
Reason 2

Students need somewhere quiet that is not home

+ neighbour’s daughter, kitchen table

Compare: the court is popular in summer, unusable in February

Mock tests

A full section, timed, end to end

Single tasks build the skill. A whole sitting builds the stamina, and they are genuinely different things — you find out what your concentration does by Task 7.

Every answer in the mock comes back with the same marking as a single attempt.

Progress

Whether any of it is actually working

A score on one attempt is a number. A score across twenty is a direction. Progress shows which of the four rated areas is moving and which is stuck, per skill.

That is the difference between practising more and practising the right thing.

Writing · last 6 attempts▲ 3 levels
9 8 7 6 TARGET · 9 1 2 3 4 5 6
Task Fulfillment · 6 → 9 Vocabulary · stuck at 7

“HelloCelpip was really helpful and effective especially when you don’t have a lot of time to review, focusing on their practice exams will be a great reference.”

“I highly recommend HelloCELPIP to anyone preparing for the CELPIP exam. I found the platform just 3 days before my test, and it really helped me improve quickly. Their AI feedback on writing and speaking was a game changer, and their listening and reading practice questions closely simulate the real exam. I used the weekly plan, and it was definitely worth it. I scored: Listening 10, Reading 9, Writing 9, and Speaking 11 (Overall 10). If you’re preparing for CELPIP, even with limited time, this platform can really help.”

CELPIP Preparation FAQ

Can AI score my CELPIP Writing and Speaking answers?

Yes, and that is what HelloCelpip does on every attempt. You answer a real CELPIP-format task, and in under a minute the report comes back with a level from 0 to 12 on each of the four areas raters use, your own sentences quoted back, a stronger version of each one, and the single change that would move your score most. More than 253,000 answers have been scored this way.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT?

HelloCelpip marks your answer the way a CELPIP rater does: a level on Content and Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability or Listenability, and Task Fulfillment, with the sentence that cost you marks pulled out of your own writing. Your Speaking recording plays back inside the report, and every attempt is kept so you can see whether the level is actually climbing. A general chat model will happily rewrite your paragraph, but it is not marking to that scale and it never hears you speak.

Is AI CELPIP scoring accurate?

HelloCelpip scores on the same 0 to 12 scale and the same four rated areas as the real test, so you can track real progress between now and test day. Reviewers on this page report what they scored after preparing here, including Listening 10, Reading 9, Writing 9 and Speaking 11. Read your report the way a tutor would: the direction across attempts and the specific corrections are what to act on, more than the digit on any one try.

Can AI mark Speaking properly, or only the words?

HelloCelpip scores Speaking on Listenability as well as content, which covers your pace, your pausing and how easy you are to follow. Your recording plays back inside the report, so you hear the hesitation exactly where the marker heard it. None of that is possible from a typed transcript alone.

Do the practice questions look like the real CELPIP test?

Yes. Every task on HelloCelpip follows the CELPIP format and timing: Speaking gives you the same planning time and one take, Writing runs against the clock, and Listening audio plays once and cannot be paused. The questions are our own, written to that format at several difficulty levels, so the layout and the pressure are familiar before test day.

Which skills and tasks does HelloCelpip cover?

All four skills, every task. Writing Tasks 1 and 2 and all eight Speaking tasks come back with a rated report; the four Reading parts and six Listening parts are marked right or wrong, then broken down by part and by question type, which is what turns a raw total into “inference is costing me”. Full-length timed mock tests run a whole section end to end with the same marking on every answer.

Can I try HelloCelpip without paying?

Yes. Answer a task and the full report opens, no card needed. Most people use that first report as a diagnosis, because it names which of the four rated areas is weakest before you spend a single evening studying the wrong thing.

How do I get from level 8 to level 9?

Usually by developing each point rather than adding more of them, and that is where HelloCelpip earns its place. Near the top of the scale the gap is rarely grammar; it is a claim that was stated and never backed with anything concrete. Every report names the vaguest sentence you wrote and shows a checkable version of the same idea, which is most of the distance between a 7 and a 9.

How long do I need to prepare for CELPIP?

That depends where you are starting, so find out on your first evening instead of your last. Take one scored task in each skill on HelloCelpip and the reports tell you which skill, and which rated area inside it, deserves your weeks. One reviewer on this page found HelloCelpip three days before their test and reports an overall 10, but short marked attempts spread over a few weeks beat one long cram.

What CLB level do I need for Canadian immigration?

It depends on the programme, and the requirement is set by IRCC rather than by CELPIP, so confirm your target on the programme's own page at canada.ca before you fix one. What HelloCelpip does is convert your four CELPIP levels into CLB against the programme you are applying to, which is usually how people discover that one skill is holding the whole application back. The calculator is on this page and needs no account.

Does HelloCelpip replace a tutor or a prep course?

It closes a loop neither can: marked feedback on every attempt, at any hour, in under a minute. A tutor is better at the things a person is better at, and plenty of learners use both. But the twenty attempts between two lessons are where a level actually moves, and those are the ones HelloCelpip marks.
