Questions about the CELPIP mock test
Is this mock test like the real CELPIP test?
Yes. It feels like test day, and it is scored like test day. You get the same screens, the same timer and the same order of parts. You cannot pause, and you cannot go back after you press NEXT. Your answers are then scored on the same 1 to 12 scale, and Writing and Speaking on the same four areas CELPIP raters use.
How long is the full CELPIP mock test?
About 2 hours 39 minutes, in one sitting. It has 20 parts: 6 Listening, 4 Reading, 2 Writing and 8 Speaking, in the same order as the real test.
How is the mock test scored?
You get a level from 1 to 12 for each skill, and an average. Listening and Reading are marked right or wrong. Writing and Speaking are scored on the four areas CELPIP raters use. Every part also has its own report with your answers and feedback. It is a practice score, not an official CELPIP result.
Can I take the mock test on my phone?
You can, but we recommend a laptop or desktop. The real CELPIP test is taken on a computer, so practising on one gets you ready for test day. Use headphones with a microphone for Listening and Speaking.
Is the full mock test free?
The Full Exam is part of every HelloCelpip plan. Before you decide, you can try one Speaking task free and get a score.
How many full mock tests are there?
There are 60 full exams. Take one, work on your weakest skill, then take another to see if your score moved.
Can I practise one skill at a time?
Yes. Skill mocks let you take only Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking, with real timing.
