5Greet your reader the way the situation calls for. The greeting is the first thing that tells your reader who they are to you. Getting it wrong colours everything underneath it. Match the greeting to who your reader is. A landlord you have never met is not a Hi, and a neighbour you see every week is not a To whom it may concern.
